Created in 1987 by the Association "Backstage" former name of the town of the Holy Spirit, the Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions is a living memory. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the rich cultural heritage from Martinique, and save the genuine achievements of our history. Located in the buildings of the former college ru Cassian St. Clair, the museum includes three rooms: - Behind the scenes: in this room is the geologic history of Martinique and more specifically the Holy Spirit is presented, along with some texts and objects evoking the religious aspect of the town and the slave period. - Gran Kay: This room is reserved for the traditional furniture of town houses and mansions. We can also take a look at the costume Creole. - The Ri Kaz Neg: we discover the reality of peasant life in turn of the century (box wood ti balm recreated cabrouet, pack mule ...) . Visitors can also plunge into the world of flow of the governed. Since November 2007 the Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions is managed by the Office of Tourism. Opening
