Open website http://www.mairie-schoelcher.fr This bronze sculpture was designed by the martinican artist Henri GUEDON, in 2001. It comprises a series of eight ornaments placed on a concrete pad that trace entries Abakuá Caribbean. These entries are signs symbolizing the spirit of the man released. The artist thus presents an aggregate of hybrids of humans and plants suggests that a group forms symbolizing human brotherhood and the balance between freedom of man and nature. This work of art is located on the waterfront of the city (Plaza of Arawaks).
