Open website http://www.ville-grosmorne.fr This monument was built under the administration of Mayor Paul Nazaire, after the Great War, also commemorates the victims of the Second World War. It is a statue of a soldier from the 1st World War, mortally wounded and about to fall backwards, clutching his chest hard against a flag. The set is painted white. On the pedestal is engraved invitation: "Passerby, go to Paris say that they are bravely died for their country." There follows a long list of Gros Morne killed during the First and Second World Wars.
