In the 1870s, the Church of sainte-anne is embellished and enriched, at the initiative of the priest Abbé Hurard with the agreement and material assistance of his parishioners. The parish is also liable for the edification of the Calvary, from 1869, the Abbot Hurard then planted a cross on the morne which dominates the village, just behind the Church. It is also the beginning of the pilgrimage of our Lady of la Salette, established on 19 September and which brings together each year several thousands of faithful. In 1991, the municipality of Sainte-Anne undertakes large work for the renovation of the Bell Tower. The work of restoration of the covers and the facades of transepts, choir and the nave, resumed in 2003.
